All of the UK’s six species of reptiles are protected by law, therefore are often considered under legal and planning regulations. Reptiles are relatively widespread across the country and timely surveys of a site can save a great deal of time and money at a later date. An initial Phase I Survey will help to determine the likelihood of reptiles being on your site. If there is a likelihood of reptile species' being on your site a presence/ absence survey can be arranged, these are normally carried out between April and September.
EHM ecologists are experienced in reptile identification and ecology. We can help plan any reptile surveys and mitigation that your project or development might require.
